The Chelsea winger Willian is glad to return back to the squad after his mother’s death
Willian left the Blues due to his mother’s death in mid-October. He also missed more than a month for this reason and returned to the club only at the end of November.
Willian came to the field for the first time after that in the match against Tottenham (2:1). Match scored a goal in the next match with Manchester City. He has contributed to the strong-willed victory at the Etihad stadium (3:1) as well.
The Brazilian has played three games after a forced break, and came out only from the bench for all of them. The Brazilian was not upset to play from the bench in the previous matches, because he understands the squad began winning as it was. A winning squad doesn’t accept changes, as it is known.
“Conte changed the team in a difficult moment for me. I lost my mom and I had to stay in Brazil for some time”, – quotes Willian Sky Sports.
“I missed a few matches where Chelsea began to win. Pedro replaced me and showed himself very well.”
“Coach told me to stay focused, train hard and try to play well. Now I feel much better, fresh and ready to go back to the first team.”
“A team needs a game, players or the whole system change sometimes. That’s why the players on the bench must always be ready, as they have to do something different on the field.”
