Have the Saints enough power of will to stop Leicester?
Preview. Leicester City vs Southampton, 03.04.2016
Leicester go on their run for their main trophy in the club’s history. They have 5 points ahead and good chances to cement their top spot. Leicester was considered the best scoring team of PL for a long time until they played 4 consecutive matches with a minimal score 1:0. All in all, the club remains one of the most scoring squads of the English Premier League.
The best Leicester’s forward is Jamie Vardy who scored 19 goals this season
Though the common table of forwards is headed by Harry Kane from Tottenham.
We have to mention also Riyad Mahrez who became the first playmaker who scored and assisted over 10 times. According to the system of goal+assist he earned 27 points.
The Saints showed us a real miracle in the previous round
Playing against Liverpool and losing 0:2 in the first half, they scored once at the beginning of the 2st half, and then Graziano Pelle and Sadio Mane topped it up with another 2 goals. On the whole, Southampton don’t look always that impressive, sometimes losing against the clubs from the bottom of the table.
Although, the Saints have definitely a great power of will
They are on the 7th position and lack only 3 points for the Europe League qualification, so they are most likely to play hard in the upcoming rounds in order to take part in the tournament this fall.
