David De Gea – the best player of the MU of the current season! The third year in a row!

Manchester United goalkeeper David de Gea has won the Sir Matt Busby Player of the Year award for an unprecedented third successive season.

De Gea received the accolade – voted for by club members – at Old Trafford during the annual Player of the Year awards, and the Spaniard has now emulated Cristiano Ronaldo by winning the award three times.

Ronaldo, though, did not win the award three years running and De Gea has underlined his world-class status during another phenomenal season.

The 25-year-old Spanish goalkeeper has made memorable saves against Southampton, Watford and, most recently, in the FA Cup semi-final win over Everton.
