Steven Gerrard can lead Liverpool’s U-16 team after retirement

Steven Gerrard announced his retirement on November, 24 and then talked about his wish to start a coach career.

Gerrard spent almost all his playing career at Liverpool. According to The Guardian, he will be probably offered the coach post of one of the Merceysides youth team.

The source claims Liverpool are now seriously contemplating the possibility of the Gerrard’s appointment for the team manager (U-23).  The current coach Michael Beale plans to change the club and go to Brazil. He seems like to be offered a position in Sao Paulo.

Let us recall, the 36-year-old Gerrard played for Liverpool as a footballer within the 1998-2015, having had 710 games and scoring 186 goals. He won the FA Cup twice, three times – the EFL Cup, twice – the English Super Cup and the European Super Cup, once – the Champions League and the UEFA Cup.

The last two seasons, the midfielder spent in Los Angeles Galaxy. He could not fully show himself in the United States because of the numerous injuries.
